Basketweave refers to a type of plain weave that creates a checkerboard-like weave pattern. Multiple warp threads interlace with an equal number of weft threads, going over and under, and then in reverse. Compared to flat plain weaves, basketweaves are visually more impactful, particularly when different colors in warp and weft are used.
