Bonded Leather

Bonded leather—also called reconstituted leather or blended leather—is produced from waste that results during leather production. The leather scraps and leather fibers are made into a pulp and stuck to a fiber or paper backing. It is then coated with a polyurethane bonding agent and embossed to give the appearance of genuine leather. Because the natural leather fiber content of bonded leather varies, it is not as durable as a higher-grade leather
