Green Label Plus is a program created by the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) to set standards for VOC emissions from carpets, cushions, and adhesives, and provide resources for consumers related to indoor air quality. It is a voluntary initiative that parallels testing emissions protocols used by the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) and California’s Section 01350. To be certified, products must undergo testing and assessment by a third-party laboratory. LEED v4 credits can be applied to Green Label Plus certified products as a Low-Emitting Materials Third Party Certification.
