Crypton Nanotex is a proprietary finish produced by the company Crypton. The treatment for textiles is used to resist stains and increase fabric performance, and it can be used on a wide range of healthcare and commercial products—such as indoor and outdoor seating, headboards, mattress fabrics, drapery, privacy curtains, and bedding. Crypton Nanotex can be applied to flat woven, knits, textured, and printed fabrics, as well as synthetic fibers, natural fibers, and 100-percent inherent FR polyester fibers. The treatment does not change the color or the hand of the fabric. Additional options can be applied to increase fabric performance. These include NanoGuard, which can prevent liquids and stains from penetrating the fabric; silver ion technology for odor and bacteria resistance; and back coating to increase dimensional stability, abrasion resistance, and seam slippage resistance.
