The Upholstered Furniture Action Council (UFAC) is a board of furniture manufacturers, retailers, and suppliers that conduct research and implement standards on cigarette resistant upholstering methods. The UFAC certification informs consumers that the upholstered product is in accordance with the most recent UFAC methods and passes the test method set forth by the National Fire Protection Association, NFPA 260.
