Vinyl composition tile (VCT) is a homogeneous resilient flooring material comprised of limestone with a mix of vinyl, filler material, binders, and pigments. Unlike luxury vinyl tile, vinyl composition tile features the same color or pattern throughout the body of the material, otherwise known as through-color or through-pattern. Since it has a porous composition, a protective finish helps with routine maintenance and provides protection against wear, scratches, and chemicals. VCT can withstand heavy foot and rolling load traffic and is therefore used more often in commercial applications.
